The Sloppy Copy Slipup

My son, Simon (8 years old), just finished reading this book. This is his review of the book.

Title: The Sloppy Copy Slipup

This book is about a little boy named Brian Higman. Brian was supposed to do a writting assignment for school. However, he can't finish the assignment because his dog ruined the sloppy copy of the story he was writing down. His writing assignment was about a missing sock that had money he was saving. Now he has to find the missing sock and finish his assignment in time.

In Simon's own words: "I loved the story a lot".

My favorite part about the book is when he was finally able to write the story at the end.

New Indiana Jones movie

We took our son's (ages 9 & 8) to see the new Indiana Jones movie "Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull". They have seen the Indiana Jones trilogy on DVD and loved them all so we decided to have a boys day out at the movies. This movie did not disappoint them and they were smiling ear to ear by the end. Their favorite parts were "going down the waterfalls" and "the motorcycle chase". My personal take on it was that it was better than "The Temple of Doom" with plenty of action with the usual Indy twists to satisfy the thrill seekers and some new foes to match the era. Not my favorite Indy movie but it was very enjoyable.
